Ian Best | 10-minute talks | Hardware | The motivation and mechanism behind ARAs H-pol antennas | ARA | I gave this talk at the Feburary 1st internal group meeting, with the goal of explaining better why ARA uses slot antennas to measure the H-pole and roughly how they work. It turned into a good discussion behind the basics of antennas. Notes were added to the slides after the talk to summarize what was went over.

The two codes are written separately, one in Mathematica and the other in Octave. The overlay of results shows a little bit of inconsistency.
